Ms. Streisfeld-Leitner received her A.B. in psychology from Duke University, cum laude, in 1986, and her J.D. from Cornell Law School, magna cum laude, in 1990. While at Cornell, Ms. Streisfeld-Leitner received the American Jurisprudence Award in contracts, was a Note Editor of the Cornell Law Review, published “The Denial of Due Process: The Unrecognized Right to an Attorney for Jeopardy Assessed Taxpayers,” and, upon graduation, was admitted into the Order of the Coif. After law school, Ms. Streisfeld-Leitner served as a federal judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. In 2003, she received a Masters of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from New York University Law School. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Ms. Streisfeld-Leitner joined McLaughlin & Stern in 2004 as an associate, became counsel to the firm in 2007 and was made a McLaughlin & Stern partner in 2011. As an experienced estate planner, she is highly skilled in using a wide variety of sophisticated tax planning techniques to achieve clients’ goals for their families in a tax-efficient manner. Ms. Streisfeld-Leitner also appreciates her clients’ desires to maintain a simple approach to their estate planning, and works with them conscientiously to streamline the techniques used. In assisting clients with the administration of estates, Ms. Streisfeld-Leitner provides legal and practical support to the clients’ fiduciaries to assist them in meeting their fiduciary responsibilities in a manner consistent with the client’s needs and preferences.

Ms. Streisfeld-Leitner resides in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, with her husband and two children.
