Steven J. Hyman and Jonathan R. Jeremias Recognized by New York Law Journal and VerdictSearch for “New York’s Top Verdicts of 2013”
The New York Law Journal and VerdictSearch recently recognized as one of New York’s Top Verdicts for 2013 the jury verdict rendered in the case Chellappa Shanmugam v. SCI Engineering, Shahid Iqbal, et ano. The case had been tried before a jury by Steven J. Hyman and Jonathan R. Jeremias. At the conclusion of the four-day trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of their client, the plaintiff, for $586,191 (plus interest), and against the defendants on all of their counterclaims.
The New York Law Journal and VerdictSearch published its selection of top verdicts in New York for 2013, which, according to the report, “represent the best of the best” and showcases the “passion, determination and skillful expertise” of the lawyers involved. Mr. Hyman and Mr. Jeremias’ jury verdict was selected among the top contract verdicts.
