NYC tenants displaced by 2023 blaze still without permanent homes — and blame insurance foot-dragging

McLaughlin & Stern, LLP Partner Brett Gallaway was recently featured in the New York Post for his continued advocacy on behalf of hundreds of Queens tenants displaced by a five-alarm fire in December of 2023.

These residents – many of whom lived in rent-stabilized apartments – have now spent nearly two years in temporary housing while insurers delay claims and avoid resolution. Brett represents the tenants in ongoing litigation and is committed to securing the justice and comfort that they deserve.
