Mollie Lustig, partner at McLaughlin & Stern, participated in a panel at the Eighth Annual C. Clyde Ferguson Jr. Symposium. The panel, “OUT: An Attempt at Clemency Through Marijuana Pardons,” was focused on the topic of clemency for prisoners serving sentences for marijuana related convictions, and particularly on President Biden’s call for governors to pardon people convicted of low-level marijuana crimes. Mollie Lustig was joined on the panel by Nkechi Taifa, President & CEO, The Taifa Group LLC, Founder & Director, Reparation Education Project, Inc.; and Cat Packer, Director of Drug Markets & Legal Regulation, Drug Policy Alliance, Vice Chair, Cannabis Regulators of Color Coalition.
