McLaughlin & Stern, LLP Unveils New Chapter with Office Move to Westfield, New Jersey

Westfield, NJ (February 12, 2024)–McLaughlin & Stern, LLP is pleased to announce the relocation of its New Jersey office from Clark to Westfield. The new space, situated at 1 Elm Street, Suite 2, in downtown Westfield is conveniently located directly across the street from the Westfield train station, enhancing the firm’s local presence and providing unparalleled access to clients in Westfield and beyond.

This move follows the establishment of the firm’s first New Jersey office just over two years ago in Clark. The office is anchored by three of the firm’s esteemed partners – Chet Ostrowski, Mollie Hartman Lustig, and Charlie Kellett – all of whom reside in neighboring communities and look forward to further connecting with the local business community and continuing to deliver top-notch legal services to both new and existing clients. 

Residing in Scotch Plains, Chet Ostrowski focuses his practice on commercial, real estate, and financial services litigation. In addition to advising and zealously advocating on behalf of his institutional consumer finance clients, Ostrowski frequently represents both businesses and individuals in matters involving claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, copyright infringement, wrongful termination, negligence, and fraud.  As Chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy Law Group, Ostrowski also helps clients navigate their way through the many unique issues that arise out of financial insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings.

Mollie Hartman Lustig, who lives in Watchung, is Chair of the firm’s Cannabis Practice Group. Her work focuses primarily on providing regulatory, licensing (both State and Local), administrative law and business counsel to clients within highly regulated industries. Hartman Lustig also provides general counsel services to clients in the cannabis industry and beyond. She also maintains a civil litigation practice, representing a variety of businesses and individuals, and appears regularly before the New Jersey Superior Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission, and Office of Administrative Law, with a focus on labor and employment issues and governmental entities.

Charlie Kellett, a Cranford resident, is a specialist in New Jersey civil procedure and has over a decade of experience handling commercial litigation matters. Kellett frequently represents both employers and employees in connection with discrimination, retaliation, and similar claims arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and other federal and state laws. Kellett is also a trusted advisor, who regularly counsels corporate entities regarding litigation, contractual and regulatory concerns.

Through a long-term lease, the firm’s New Jersey office has sealed its commitment to its new home in Westfield, where it hopes for and expects significant growth in the near future.
