John Brickman Presents Ethics Continuing Legal Education
John Brickman, head of litigation in the Firm’s Long Island office, presented a lawyers’ Continuing Legal Education program on March 16, 2021, to the Theodore Roosevelt American Inn of Court. The inn is the Long Island Chapter of the American Inns of Court, the national organization of local chapters that bring lawyers, judges, and law students together for training that maintains high standards of practice and civility. Brickman discussed issues of legal ethics in bankruptcy and mortgage foreclosures.
Brickman concentrates his law practice in litigation and dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on corporate, commercial, trust and estate, real estate, and business cases. He serves on the National Panel of Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association, has been appointed as a referee and receiver in corporate and real estate disputes by courts throughout the downstate region, and for years has taught continuing legal education programs, including on lawyers’ ethics.
