Channel 7’s Eyewitness News at 4 interviewed Attorney Christian Browne for a story about a lawsuit filed by New York State Attorney General Letitia James against the Village of Freeport in which the Attorney General attempts to prevent the Village from entering into a contract to sell its Cleveland Avenue ballfield. Mr. Browne, acting as special counsel to the Village of Freeport, said the sale of the property will result in tax cuts for village residents. “The petition they’ve filed sounds rather political to me,” he said.
