Mr. Lion has spent over 25 years counseling clients in transactions and disputes involving corporate, financial, maritime and regulatory matters.

He advises international and domestic corporations on the application of United States laws and government regulations to their operations in the United States. He has extensive experience assisting clients in negotiation of international contracts, including financings, leases, joint ventures, sales and acquisitions.

Mr. Lion advises clients about trade and transportation regulation and related commercial matters. He advises clients regarding government relations and regulatory compliance in the United States.

In recent years, Mr. Lion has represented a shipowning group in a series of financings to provide funding of over one billion dollars for acquisition of ships in shipyards in Europe and Asia. He has also represented clients in private placements secured by ship terminals in the United States, and in corporate acquisition financing. He recently represented the seller in sale and leaseback financings of over 20 oceangoing vessels.

Mr. Lion has received the highest rating of “AV” from Martindale-Hubbell.
