Morton L. Price is a graduate of Bowdoin College (cum laude, 1956), where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and the Yale Law School (1959). Upon completion of active military service he worked as a assistant to then Professor Jack B. Weinstein at Columbia Law School and clerked for Herbert B. Cohen, Associate Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Subsequent to that practiced estates, trusts, real estate, commercial and transportation law with several firms including Schwab Goldberg Price & Dannay which eventually merged into Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman.
At McLaughlin & Stern, which Mr. Price joined in 2010, he specializes in estate planning, preparation of wills and trusts, estate administration and real estate.
He has served on a number of committees of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, including the Committee on Legal Problems of the Aging, the Committee on Professional Responsibility, the Committee on Administrative Law and was chairman of the Transportation Committee. He is currently a member of the Committee on Estate and Trust Administration of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Estate Planning Council of New York City.
Mr. Price has served as Guardian ad Litem in several complex accounting proceedings and construction proceedings in the Surrogate’s Court, represented the heir of a holocaust art theft victim in connection with the restitution of paintings and has lectured on estate planning and related subjects. He has served as Treasurer and a Trustee of The City Club of New York and as a member of the United Nations Hospitality Committee.
