Dan Quinn is counsel at McLaughlin & Stern’s litigation department practicing out of the Garden City office. He represents clients of the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Employment Law, Municipal Law, and Criminal Defense and Investigations practices, with cases that range from the defense of criminal actions against corporate defendants, real estate disputes, wrongful termination claims against employers, and the representation of local municipalities involved in litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Quinn was an associate at Thompson & Coburn LLP where he represented financial institutions in secured commercial lending transactions. Mr. Quinn also served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. He was a member of the County Court Trial Bureau and Vehicular Crimes Bureau, where he prosecuted a caseload of violent felonies through all stages of criminal litigation, as well as participating in pre-arrest investigations. While at the Nassau DA’s Office Mr. Quinn tried multiple jury trials, conducted numerous hearings before the criminal court and presented multiple cases to the Grand Jury.
Mr. Quinn received his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law in 2018. While in law school he was the Executive Director of the law school’s mock trial program and competed against law schools across the country in national mock trial competitions. He now teaches trial advocacy at St. John’s University on a part-time basis
