Carla J. Hartley specializes in representing employers in all aspects of employment law.  Her experience includes wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and whistleblowing, leaves of absence, disability and religious accommodation, wage and hour, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, privacy rights, reductions in force, severance negotiations, and compensation and commission plans.  In addition to trials and arbitrations, Carla regularly represents clients in proceedings before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California Civil Rights Department, federal and state labor commissions, and local agencies such as the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement.  She also has significant experience in handling class, collective and PAGA actions.

Carla also provides employment advice and a full range of employment-related services to ensure her clients are compliant with the numerous federal, state and local laws regulating employers.

She also specializes in representing medical groups and other health care entities.  In addition to providing employment advice, she handles a variety of other matters, including governmental investigations, medical board reporting, and False Claims Act litigation.
