Louis A. Cannizzaro is a partner practicing in the areas of probate and the administration of estates and trusts, estate and trust litigation, and estate planning. His practice includes preparation of estate planning instruments, including inter-vivos trusts and Wills, as well as durable power of attorney, health care proxy, and living will instruments. Mr. Cannizzaro handles all aspects of estate and trust administration, including appointment proceedings, preparation and filing of estate tax returns, accountings, and distributions to beneficiaries.
He appears regularly before the Surrogate’s Court in all aspects of estate and trust litigation, from discovery (including the conducting of depositions) to motion practice and trials, including probate, administration, accounting, discovery, guardianship, and miscellaneous proceedings. Mr. Cannizzaro received his J.D. degree cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law in 2008, where he was on the Dean’s List and was graduated from the University of Delaware in 2004 with a B.A. degree cum laude. He is admitted to practice law in New York.
