Geoffry R. Handler is the managing partner of McLaughlin & Stern.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio, and received his B.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1970 and his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago in 1973.

Mr. Handler concentrates his practice in corporate law, taxation and estate planning. His work has included the successful restructuring of various medium and large family-owned ventures to accomplish inter-generational transfers in a tax-efficient way.

With Mr. Alkalay of the firm, Mr. Handler participated as corporate counsel in the purchase of a Major League Baseball franchise.

He was a member of the board of directors of a major media company until its acquisition by one of the country’s major broadcasters, and he sits on the board of directors of two significant charitable foundations.
Mr. Handler is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
