Jon C. Scahill is a partner in the intellectual property, litigation and corporate/securities departments where he concentrates in patent licensing and litigation as well as general corporate matters and transactions involving intellectual property. Mr. Scahill has over 9 years' experience identifying, vetting, negotiating for and monetizing intellectual property assets. He has engaged assets as an owner, purchaser, licensee, licensor, plaintiff and defendant. He has advised and negotiated transaction terms on behalf of and opposite owners, investors, hedge funds, litigation counsel as well as opposing counsel and their clients. Mr. Scahill's experience includes general corporate/securities matters; corporate finance; and mergers and acquisitions for both public and private companies. His matters include private and public offering of equity, debt and convertible securities; fund formations and private placements; asset and stock purchase agreements; employment agreements; corporate formations and operating agreements.
In addition, Mr. Scahill practices with the firm's real estate department both in New York and Florida, overseeing transactions involving the purchase, sale and lease of residential and commercial real estate, as well as title closings, eminent domain proceedings, lending and secured transactions. Mr. Scahill is a licensed real estate broker in New York.
Mr. Scahill holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester, an MBA in finance from Rochester's Simon Graduate School of Business, and a JD (cum laude) from Pace University School of Law. Mr. Scahill is a registered patent attorney admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
