Sharon F. Cooper received her B.A in French Language and Literature, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and her J.D from the Columbia University School of Law in 1992. While at law school, Ms. Cooper was an Articles Editor of the Columbia-VLA Journal of Law and the Arts, and was a choreographer and performer in the Law Revue and Cabaret shows produced each year. Prior to joining McLaughlin & Stern, Ms. Cooper was a partner at Gardner Weiss & Rosenblum LLP and Of Counsel to Labaton Sucharow LLP. Ms. Cooper concentrates her practice in the area of trust and estate planning and administration, and has handled a wide variety of matters on the local, national and international levels. Her practice also includes charitable and non-charitable gift planning, the negotiation and preparation of prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and planning for disability with the use of revocable living trusts, supplemental needs trusts, health care proxies and living wills. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York as well as in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Ms. Cooper is a member of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is an accomplished amateur photographer and is fluent in French.
