Jordan J. Messeri joined the firm as counsel in April 2017. Jordan focuses his practice in matrimonial and family law, from litigation and motion practice before New York trial and appellate courts throughout New York City and the surrounding counties, to negotiating and drafting prenuptial agreements and separation agreements. Jordan's practice is focused on providing counsel in a wide range of matrimonial and family law matters including divorce, child custody and access, spousal and child support, enforcement, paternity, prenuptial, postnuptial and separation agreements.
Jordan strives to provide solution-oriented, compassionate counsel and works closely with his clients to identify their goals. He ensures that his clients understand their rights and the litigation process, and that all options are thoroughly vetted and considered. Jordan recognizes that out-of-court settlements are often the best course of action, and he endeavors to assist clients to amicably and speedily resolve their matters when possible. However, when necessary to protect a client's rights, Jordan readily pursues litigation and is a zealous advocate in the courtroom.
Jordan graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2001, where he was a recipient of the Dean's Merit Scholarship and a member of the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal. He received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1998. Jordan is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section and the New York County Lawyers Association.
