Laura is co-chair of of the firm's fiduciary litigation practice group. Her practice focuses on trusts and estates litigation in Surrogate's and other courts. Areas of expertise include contested probates and accountings; claims by or against estates; removal and appointment of fiduciaries; cy pres and construction issues; compulsion of delivery of estate property, original wills, or accountings; as well as breach of fiduciary duty and surcharge of fiduciaries. Another areas of focus is the drafting, probate, and administration of controversial estates and trusts. Laura gladly represents both fiduciaries and beneficiaries. She is also active in the pro bono sector, with a particular focus on assisting families of those who have died due to police brutality, both by probating and administering the estates of the decedants and by advising re planning with the proceeds of wrongful death claims.
